Tripeptide-6 is a synthetic peptide with the sequence Gly-Hyp-Pro that possesses anti-wrinkle, wound healing, and hydrating properties. This anti-aging peptide is also known under the trade name CG-CTP.

Thanks to its significant hydrating ability, Tripeptide-6 is used in moisturizing applications that maintain optimal water balance, smooth fine lines, and enhance skin elasticity. In addition, it promotes collagen and elastin production, resulting in a firmer, suppler, and more youthful appearance.

When combined with L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Tripeptide-6 showed a synergistic effect, boosting collagen production and enhancing anti-aging effects. Researchers found that Vitamin C helps to convert proline into hydroxyproline and separate it from the prolyl 5-hydroxylase enzyme, which explains its potentiating action.
