Syn®-Hycan is an innovative peptide (tripeptide) based complex developed to reduce visible signs of skin aging. It leaves a dual effect. First, it promotes the skin's own production of hyaluronan, which enhances the skin's water-retention capacity and protects structural proteins like collagen and the skin cells.

Second, Syn®-Hycan increases the levels of two essential proteins in human skin, thereby strengthening collagen fibers. These active substances work together to prevent wrinkle formation and slackening of the skin, the most visible signs of skin aging.

By increasing dermal hyaluronan levels, SYN®-HYCAN firms the skin from the inside out. In contrast, when hyaluronan is applied topically, it can act only as a good humectant on the skin's surface. This incredible ingredient also increases decorin and lumican levels, which improve collagen fibers by making them thinner and stronger. Both SYN®-HYCAN modes of action work together to reduce wrinkle formation and skin sagging – the most visible signs of aging.

Scientific trials have provided convincing evidence of SYN®-HYCAN's efficacy in remodeling facial contours. When tested in normal human fibroblasts, this peptide increased skin-identical hyaluronic acid synthesis by a factor of 4, while also boosting decorin (73%) and lumican (66%) production.

A double-blind study was also conducted with 40 female volunteers aged 55–65 who demonstrated visible skin sagging. In addition to noticing improvements in the firmness of their skin, the participants reported that it felt softer and more hydrated. In fact, SYN HYCAN significantly increased tension by 3%, tonicity by 17%, and firmness by 7%.
