When applied topically, r-(Methionyl sh-Oligopeptide-85) packed in biodegradable polymeric PLGA nanoparticles, leaves a significant anti-senescence effect on a cellular level. Encapsulation increased intracellular uptake and bioactivity, including DNA damage rescue and telomerase reactivation.
