Palmitoyl sh-Tripeptide-3 Amide is a low molecular weight lipo-peptide derived from Pro-Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF; sequence position 894-896) that stimulates cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation by binding to its receptor EGFR. It has the sequence Pal-Tyr-Val-Cys-NH2 (corresponds to a part of the EGF-like calcium-binding domain). It is known under the trade name Synepin™.
According to the manufacturer's claim, Palmitoyl sh-Tripeptide-3 Amide mimics EGF, significantly promoting the growth of keratinocytes and dermal fibroblasts and enhancing the production of collagen and elastin. In addition, it attracts cells to the damaged site, initiating the repair process, which is an essential part of skin regeneration.
Thanks to its regeneration-stimulating properties, Palmitoyl sh-Tripeptide-3 Amide helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines, exposing a youthful, fresh, and radiant appearance of the skin. It is used in high-end anti-aging applications and peptide-based complex ingredients in a 1.2% concentration.
