Palmitoyl sh-Tetrapeptide-2 Amide is a lipo-peptide that inhibits Interleukin-1R, an inflammatory cytokine receptor, soothing skin irritation and acting as an anti-inflammatory agent. It has the sequence Pal-Lys‑Asn‑Val‑Arg-NH2, which corresponds to the 531-534 fragment of the human Interleukin-1 receptor type 1.

According to the manufacturer, Palmitoyl sh-Tetrapeptide-2 Amide also helps fight hypersensitivity and skin allergies. It is known under the trade name Ilonerin™.
