Oligopeptide-24

Oligopeptide-24 (formerly Oligopeptide-23; known under the trade name CG-EDP3) is a synthetic biomimetic peptide that stimulates skin cell proliferation by up-regulation of EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) expression. It mimics a key component in regulating the renewal of all skin structures: epidermal and dermal cells, hyaluronic acid molecules, collagen fibers, elastin, and fibronectin.

Oligopeptide-24 demonstrated upregulation of cell growth and migration, cell survival, extracellular matrix expression, and specific growth factor expression in skin cell lines. It smooths fine lines and wrinkles, exposing a youthful skin appearance.

A scientific study showed that the EGF concentration was increased in fibroblast cells after 72hr treatment of Oligopeptide-24 in the condition of serum-free culture. In addition, CG-EDP3 showed positive regulation of Hyaluronic acid and fibronectin expression. Increased expression of hyaluronic acid (3-fold) and Elastin (1.3-fold) was observed in a dose-dependent manner with Oligopeptide-24 in fibroblast cells.

It is also used as an anabolic "fat-burning" peptide in injectable preparations. Thanks to its noticeable beneficial effects, Oligopeptide-24 is used in various types of anti-aging products for skin and body care.
