Hyaluronic acid and other glycosaminoglycans are vital moisturizers and lubricants in the interstitial spaces between epidermal cells. The absence of these lubricating moisturizers can accelerate the deterioration of the skin’s collagen, resulting in the loss of elasticity, flexibility, and tonicity.

Actiglide® possesses a high molecular weight and is highly hygroscopic (attracting or absorbing moisture from the air). It exhibits viscous flow and pseudo-plastic properties. It is a colorless to light yellow viscous liquid with a characteristic odor, soluble in any proportion in water.

Actiglide® is an excellent skin conditioner in moisturizing lotions, creams, gel masks, facial packs, body moisturizers, and products formulated for normal, dry, dehydrated, and sensitive skin. This ingredient can also be used in foundations, eye shadows, eyeliners, and mascaras.
