Macadamia oil is extracted (cold-pressed) from the nuts of the macadamia tree (Macadamia Integrifolia), with the highest concentration of palmitoleic acid. Nuts can contain up to 75% of their weight in oil. The oil mainly contains triglycerides, mostly monounsaturated fats, with up to 84% of them.

Palmitoleic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid found in the skin sebum, and therefore, macadamia nut oil is beneficial in anti-aging and dry skin products for those whose sebum production is diminished.

Macadamia Integrifolia seed oil is highly emollient, promoting skin hydration, wrinkle reduction, and suppleness. It is protective and high-absorption, and it is used for healing scars, sunburn, minor wounds, and other irritations.

Studies showed that Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil is a natural antioxidant that prevents lipid peroxidation and oxidative stress. It also inhibits hyaluronidase, the enzyme responsible for degrading hyaluronic acid and GAGs, thereby preserving the skin's moisture retention, elasticity, and smoothness.

Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil is highly stable to oxidation, safe, effective, and a natural ingredient for personal care products.
