Herbasec® MPE Sebostat is composed of three plant extracts specially chosen for their sebum-regulating properties. Independent laboratory data support its efficacy.

It is in a chemically stable form of a pale powder, allowing it to be incorporated into pale creams and lotions, where highly concentrated liquid extracts can cause discoloration and solid products. The powder technology can also produce unlimited single or multiple plant extracts.

Herbasec® MPE Sebostat is a highly concentrated, dry powder extract containing a synergistic active complex of Watercress, Horsetail, and Nettle. It is ideally suited as a botanical sebum-regulating active in skin and hair care products. It is soluble in water and leaves no residue.

Due to the unique characteristics of the three plants, it is ideally suited for formulation into white or pale-colored skin care creams and lotions or transparent products where dark-colored liquid extracts pose a problem of discoloration. Its powder form also allows incorporation into solid products.

In addition, the novel extraction process offers an extract containing the majority of the existing plant actives. These highly concentrated dry extracts allow more straightforward proof of the declared ingredient in the final product. The recommended level of use is 0.5 - 1% for leave-on products and 2 - 5% for rinse-off products.
