Botanical

Coffea Arabica Seed Oil is a coffee oil obtained by a specific cold pressing process of selected coffee beans (seeds). It contains a high amount of polyunsaturated linoleic acid, palmitic acid, other essential fatty acids, and diterpenic esters.

After a specific light hydrogenation process, Coffee Arabica Seed Oil can offer higher oxidation stability (a lower linoleic content) and an exceptionally smooth and elegant feeling on the skin. Its outstanding spreadability and high concentration of antioxidants make it ideal as a massage oil or carrier for unique skin treatment products. With coffee's growing popularity in today's youth-oriented marketplace, coffee oil has found wide acceptance in various product applications.

Scientific research reveals that Coffee Arabica Seed Oil restores the lipids in the Stratum corneum and increases the expression of the Aquaporin-3 gene, enhancing skin hydration. Additionally, it reduces UV-induced erythema, as measured by the SPF-boosting effect (approximately 25%), and decreases skin damage from UVB radiation.

Thanks to its ability to increase the synthesis of tissue growth factors (GM-CSF and TGF-β), Coffee Arabica Seed Oil also boosts the production of extracellular matrix components (ECM), including collagen, elastin, and GAGs (glycosaminoglycans, such as hyaluronic acid). It also increases the release of free fatty acids due to a noticeable lipolytic action that is useful in anti-cellulite, anti-aging, and slimming applications.

Coffea Arabica Seed Oil provides moisturizing, firming, energizing, and refreshing properties to creams, lotions, and bar soaps. It may also be used in cosmetics, toiletries, soaps, massage oils and balms, hair care products, and sun care preparations.
