Ascorbyl Linoleate

Ascorbyl Linoleate is an ester of Ascorbic and Linoleic acids, a vitamin C oil-soluble derivative obtained by a biotechnological process using a lipase-catalyzed synthesis. It is used in food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetic applications.

Like Ascorbyl Palmitate, widely used in skincare preparations, Ascorbyl Linoleate also exhibits vitamin-C-like action on the skin. Moreover, comparative tests showed that its antioxidant action is better than that of Ascorbyl Palmitate, thanks to the polyunsaturated origin of Linoleic acid. In addition, Ascorbyl Linoleate has a higher diffusion coefficient (better permeation) and easily adsorbs into deeper layers of the skin.

Applied topically, Ascorbyl Linoleate improves collagen production, fights against free radicals, and lightens skin tone, exposing a fresher, youthful, and radiant appearance. It is used in anti-aging, skin-lightening, and daily care products.
