Calcium is involved in maintaining healthy cell membranes and regulates the passage of nutrients in and out of cells. Saccharomyces cerevisiae fermentation in Calcium ions rich media results in a complex wherein polypeptides function as carriers of Ca2+ minerals.

Saccharomyces/Calcium Ferment is a Baker's yeast protein-complexed with Calcium minerals that provide smoothing, moisturizing, and cell-renewing capabilities to skin and hair in an aqueous, bioactive form. It is used in Shampoo, conditioners, leave-in products, face and hair treatments, body lotions, and facial moisturizers.
