Palmitoyl Dipeptide-17 (Palmitoyl Glycylproline) is a synthetic lipopeptide with the sequence Pal-Gly-Pro. It is known under the trade name Proliphil.
Products of collagen breakdown (peptides) boost its production. The Gly-Pro (Dipeptide-17) sequence is abundant in collagen and stimulates its bioproduction without any cytotoxic effect.
As a derivative of a major constituent of collagen, Palmitoyl Dipeptide-17 activates intracellular enzymes that balance new collagen synthesis and help restore skin resilience. Particularely, it activates Prolidase, one of the enzymes regulating collagen regeneration.
