Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate

Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate is an anionic surfactant, a sodium salt of the methyl carboxyl ethoxylated (with 13 mols of ethylene oxide) lauryl alcohol. Thanks to its excellent rinsability and flash foaming action, it is used in many cleansing applications.

Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate exhibits excellent thermal and chemical stability and can be used with alkaline or acidic ingredients and electrolytes. It can also be combined with nonionic, anionic, and most cationic surfactants.

Because of its mildness, lime-soap dispersing properties and compatibility with commonly used cationics, Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate meets the demands of personal care products such as hair and body shampoos.

Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate is a good coupler and solubiliser. As the secondary or co-surfactant, it will also enhance and modify foam and improve the ease of formulation.

It is supplied as a clear to slightly hazy gel with 68 - 72% solids. The pH of a 10% Aqueous solution is about 7.0 - 8.5.
