Oleyl Lactate

Oleyl Lactate is a vegetable-derived, slightly yellow, clear to slightly hazy, somewhat viscous liquid at ambient temperatures with a slightly fatty odor. It is miscible with natural and mineral oils, dispersible with propylene glycol, and insoluble in water and ethanol.

Oleyl Lactate has an initial light oily feel and is characterized by its ability to leave the skin soft, supple, and silky, with an almost powdery, waxy feel on rub-in. It is highly emollient and unique in its ability to simultaneously fat and moisturize the skin.

Oleyl Lactate is a useful and safe ingredient in skin products, massage oils, makeup, and hair conditioners, where it imparts softness, sheen, and manageability. It is non-irritating to skin and eyes, orally non-toxic, and non-comedogenic.
