Silicone Quaternium-2 Panthenol Succinate is a silicone panthenol quaternary compound that has outstanding substantivity to hair. It is a water-soluble clear liquid with a mild odor.

The former designation was Silicone Quaternium-13. It is also known under the trade name Silicone Panthenol Quat (SPQ®).

Incorporated in hair care applications, Silicone Quaternium-2 Panthenol Succinate improves substantivity and delivers Panthenol to hair. Panthenol has a proven positive effect on hair (protective, moisturizing), and the silicone portion of the molecule gives excellent shine to the hair.
