Cinnamidopropyltrimonium Chloride is a hair color protector. This additive is patented as a high-activity quaternized UV absorber, but it is not a category I sunscreen.

Cinnamidopropyltrimonium chloride protects hair from sun exposure by preventing UVB damage and improving the combing properties, strength, and mechanical behavior of hair exposed to UV radiation. It preserves hair’s natural color and helps keep hair stronger, more hydrophobic.

Cinnamidopropyltrimonium Chloride is compatible with anionics. It is a viscous amber liquid that is easy to use since it requires no pre-solubilizing.
