Plankton Extract is an extract of Marine Biomass that includes one or more of the following organisms: Thalassoplankton, green micro-algae, diatoms, greenish-blue, and nitrogen-fixed seaweed. Thanks to its high iodine content and stimulating effect on the thyroid, plankton-based preparations are effective in treating thyroid hormone deficiency and are also used as a weight reducer.

Many Marine Biomass preparations are used for the external treatment of cellulitis, rheumatism, sprains, bruises, and psoriasis. Incorporated in skin care applications, Plankton Extract exhibits moisturizing, tonifying, and soothing properties thanks to its high lipid content.

Plankton is rich in silicon, which is believed to help prevent skin from wrinkling and sagging. It is considered an essential nutrient for the health of the hair's roots. Plankton contains vitamins and minerals that benefit the skin, fingernails, and hair. It can be used with positive effects in weight-control diets and can be added to the bath to smooth the skin.

Plankton Extract is a light to medium-green liquid with a characteristic odor. It is soluble in water in any proportion. To stimulate the skin and scalp, it is used in various products, including creams, lotions, toners, masks, gels, soaps, and shampoos. Plankton Extract can also be used in cellular repair products and those formulated to treat cellulitis.
